CPR

CPR is the act of pushing hard and fast on the chest and giving breaths.  It is given to those people whose heart has stopped pumping blood.  During this training you will learn how to provide hands on CPR at the rate recommended by the American Heart Association.  Our providers  will teach you how to transition from chest compression to providing breaths.  You will learn when to provide chest compression only or breaths only based on how the person responds to you.

Bloodborne Pathogen

This class was designed to provide essential yet simple information on how to protect you while at work, home or in the community. Should you be exposed to blood or materials containg blood, the information and actions you learn in this course will help you protect yourself from bloodborne pathogens and disease.  It will teach you the proper techniques of handling blood in order to protect you and the person you help from any further harm. This course was developed to provide you the basics but does not take the place of your workplace policies and procedure. This is a basic course offered for those people who are unaware of what bloodborne pathogens are and what you need to do to protect you and those around you.

AED

An Automated External Defibrillator (AED) is a portable device used to automatically diagnose cardiac arrhythmia's of ventricular fibrillation and ventricular tachycardia in a person.  It is able to treat them through defibrillation.  Basically it figures out if the person needs a shock and will tell you to give one or even advise you if a shock is not needed to start CPR. It is our goal to train people how to use an AED properly in order to assist them while performing CPR.
